Look on the tank. It should be printed beside or below the DOT certification. Without it, the tank cannot be hydrotested in Canada, when it comes time for the re-certification, you must buy a new tank or send it to the US and hope Customs doesn't catch it. It is not legal in Canada without that certification.
You're going to have a tough time selling that tank if it doesn't have the number.
TC = Transport Canada.

D6 The company that does all my hydro testing has told me that as long as it has a DOT number on it, it is fine to test. Most tanks have the TC number as well, but not some of the Angel Air's. So, as long as it has EITHER a TC or a DOT number on it (all Angel Airs have a DOT #), it is fine to re-test.

Not according to the paintball and dive shops around here. My dive shop won't even touch a tank without that TC number. However, if the tank is made by Carleton Technologies, it may be safe even without the stamp. You may be able to get written authorization from them.
